Bloom Energy

Yesterday, we witness the unveiling of an eco-friendly fuel cell. It's a product that got a lot of people excited as it generates electricity with only by products like water, heat and some carbon dioxide. To be exact, they operate using Solid Oxide Fuel Cell.

A solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) is an electrochemical conversion device that produces electricity directly from oxidizing a fuel. Fuel cells are characterized by their electrolyte material and, as the name implies, the SOFC has a solid oxide, or ceramic, electrolyte. Advantages of this class of fuel cells include high efficiencies, long term stability, fuel flexibility, low emissions, and cost. The largest disadvantage is the high operating temperature which results in longer start up times and mechanical/chemical compatibility issues.

Apple

I've been thinking about blogging about Apple for a long long time, the bashing of Apple's product by supposedly "smart" people constantly fuel my intention to talk about what i think apple is about. By the way, I do not think i'm smart, i'm just wondering how those people got there (associated with intelligent) in the first place.

About This Blog

This blog is about looking at design from a logical point of view. Good designs are often good because of the thinking behind it and not because of pure luck. The colour, forms etc can all be and should be rationalised. This belief doesn't mean that any and everyone can design by simply following a formula. It is still an art to decide on the solution that best fit all requirements.

I will be posting on some everyday stuff that's more light hearted and fun. Reviews will be done on products that I’ve gotten my hands on!
